Juventus is set to shake up the transfer market with the reopening of negotiations to secure the return of Randal Kolo Muani, at a time when the imminent departure of Dusan Vlahovic threatens to leave a concerning void in the bianconeri’s attack. The decision-makers at Vecchia Signora, led by the new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, appear determined not to waste time and have already made contact with Paris Saint-Germain, the owner of the French forward’s rights, in the hope of quickly securing a suitable alternative to the Serbian.
The contract of Dusan Vlahovic expires on June 30, and unless there is an unexpected last-minute turnaround, the forward will not renew, thus becoming a free agent starting in July. This decision leaves Juventus without their top scorer, with only Jonathan David, Lois Openda, and Arkadiusz Milik remaining as options in the attack. However, these three players managed only seven goals in the Serie A throughout last season—David scored six, Openda just one, and Milik went blank—figures that worry the technical staff and create urgency for the signing of a new striker.

The importance of this dossier for Juventus cannot be underestimated. The departure of Vlahovic represents not only a significant sporting loss but also a threat to the club’s competitiveness in an increasingly demanding Serie A. The return of Kolo Muani thus emerges as one of the few solutions capable of revitalizing the attacking sector and restoring hope to the fans. It is worth noting that the French forward previously wore the bianconeri jersey in the second half of the 2024/25 season, on loan from PSG. During that period, Kolo Muani impressed by scoring eight goals in sixteen matches, an average that places him among the best finishers in the Italian league.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s report on Thursday, Carnevali is focused on understanding the details of the amounts demanded by PSG, including the transfer fee, salaries, and agent commissions, to facilitate the player’s return to Turin. The official intends to act quickly to avoid being surpassed by other interested clubs and to prevent Juventus from starting the new season without a significant reinforcement in attack.
Kolo Muani himself expressed, during his previous visit to Turin in May 2025, the desire to return: “I felt very good in Italy and the support from Juventus fans was unforgettable. I would like to come back to win titles and continue to grow as a player,” the French forward confided after the match against Lazio, where he scored a decisive goal.
The current scenario places Juventus at a crossroads: either they quickly finalize the agreement for Kolo Muani’s return, or they risk starting the 2026/27 season with a weakened attack reliant on players who do not deliver excellent numbers. Furthermore, the potential signing of the French international could serve as an argument to attract other quality reinforcements and calm the fans’ unease, already alarmed by Vlahovic’s departure.
In the coming days, Carnevali is expected to intensify negotiations and present a concrete proposal to PSG. If the deal materializes, Kolo Muani will be called upon to take center stage in Turin and prove that he can be Vlahovic’s successor. Otherwise, Juventus will have to look for alternatives in an increasingly competitive and inflated transfer window, risking a severe compromise to their Italian title aspirations. The pressure is at its peak and the clock is ticking – the eyes of European football are on Turin.
