Daniel Levy is preparing for a revolution at Tottenham Hotspur by agreeing to sell most of his stake in the club to a technology-linked American billionaire. After 25 years at the helm of the Spurs, the former chairman has signed a deal to transfer 24.99% of the London team’s capital to Eight Sports Capital, a company managed by Brooklyn Earick, an impressive investor who promises to transform the future of the London emblem.
Brooklyn Earick, a former NASA engineer and lifelong Tottenham fan, is now a successful entrepreneur who has raised over £25 billion in funds, including from sovereign entities. As CEO of Redacted RnD, a venture capital firm based in Singapore, and leader of Eight Sports Capital — the sports arm of Triller, known for betting on pay-per-view events like the historic fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. — Earick emerges as a powerful and visionary figure, ready to invest and expand the reach of the Spurs.
A spokesperson for Eight Sports Capital Limited stated enthusiastically: “We are very pleased to have signed this agreement to acquire a significant stake in ENIC. We look forward to working closely with shareholders, management, players, staff, and fans to support the ongoing growth and success of Tottenham Hotspur.” This commitment underscores the new investor’s ambition to elevate the club to higher levels at a time when the Spurs face internal and external challenges.
Despite the sale, ENIC will retain majority shareholder control, with the Lewis family holding 70.12% of the capital. Since Levy’s departure, the club’s management has been in the hands of Joe Lewis’s daughter, Vivienne, and son-in-law Nick Beucher, while Peter Charrington has taken on the presidency. This trio has faced criticism after the team finished 17th in the Premier League for the second consecutive season, narrowly avoiding relegation on the final matchday.
At the time, the club assured that it would not be sold and promised to increase investment, but this new financial operation indicates a significant change in strategy. The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but it is expected that Levy, who will retain about four percent of ENIC, will raise hundreds of millions of pounds, consolidating his financial legacy while opening doors to a new era for Tottenham.
This transaction could shift the balance of power within English and European football, placing Tottenham on a path of accelerated growth, supported by one of the most influential figures in the technology and sports investment world. Spurs fans are now waiting to see if this change will bring the long-desired stability and sporting success.
