Paulo Dybala drops a bombshell: the derby against Lazio could be his last home game for AS Roma!

Argentine forward Paulo Dybala, 32, has left Roma fans in suspense by admitting that the derby against Lazio, scheduled for this Sunday, could be his farewell in front of his supporters at the Stadio Olimpico. Without any official contact from the club regarding his future, Dybala revealed in an exclusive interview with Sky Italia that his contract suggests this could indeed be his last home match for the Romans.

Since joining Roma in 2022, after a long and successful seven-year stint at Juventus, Dybala has been a key player for the team, helping to lead the club to the Europa League final in his debut season. However, the current season has been marked by a series of injuries that have affected his performance on the pitch. The forward has been dealing with muscular issues, including a calf injury, and underwent knee surgery in March, which kept him sidelined for nearly four months.

“In fact, I would like to know more, but the club hasn’t spoken to me yet. The contract indicates that the derby will probably be my last game in front of the Roma fans… we’ll see what happens at the end of the season,” Dybala confessed, leaving a huge question mark over his future.

Despite physical difficulties, the Argentine international once again showcased his quality in the last match against Parma, where he provided an assist in the 3-2 victory, a result that left Roma tied on points with AC Milan, currently fourth in the standings, in a fierce race for the coveted Champions League qualification.

“We showed the determination and desire we have to secure a place in the Champions League. We know it doesn’t just depend on us, but we will fight until the end,” added the forward, clearly focused on the battle for the top of the table.

Paulo Dybala, who continues to be one of the biggest names in Italian and international football, is now at the center of all attention. Will the derby against Lazio mark the end of his era in Rome? Or will it be just the beginning of a new chapter? The answer may come in the next few weeks, but one thing is certain: the future of the Argentine star is far from decided, and fans are experiencing days of anxiety and heightened anticipation.
