Jannik Sinner enters the legend: finalist in Madrid and part of the exclusive club of the greats of world tennis!

A historic achievement shakes the world of tennis: Jannik Sinner, the young Italian prodigy, confirms himself as a true force of nature by reaching the final of the prestigious Mutua Madrid Open. This milestone places him alongside legends such as Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal, making him one of only four players in history to have reached at least one final in all Masters 1000 tournaments on the circuit. Moreover, he is the youngest to accomplish this extraordinary feat.

The semifinal against Frenchman Arthur Fils was a true demonstration of power and competitive composure. Sinner dominated with a clear 6-2, 6-4 scoreline, handing Fils his first defeat of the season on clay after his triumph in Barcelona. The twenty-year-old from San Candido once again showcased his ability to elevate his game in crucial moments, a hallmark that is establishing him as the number one in the world.

“I felt very comfortable in the first set. In the second, however, I encountered some difficulties, but overall I am really satisfied with my performance today. In these moments, I always try to play the best tennis possible. Today was a great day at the office. He is one of the best players and is important for tennis. Winning against him means a lot to me,” Sinner stated to ATP microphones immediately after the match, making clear his determination and awareness of the value of the opponent he defeated.

The Italian champion also emphasized the increasing difficulty of the Master 1000 tournaments: “I always say that the first rounds are very complicated. As the matches go on, opponents find your same rhythm. The conditions today were completely different from yesterday, when we played with the roof closed. Sunday will be very tough, but I am happy to be playing for another title.”

Now Sinner awaits his next opponent, who will emerge from the clash between Alexander Zverev and Alexander Blockx. A duel that will decide who will face the Italian sensation for the final title in Madrid.

Jannik Sinner is no longer a promise, but a solid and formidable reality at the top of world tennis. This triumph in Madrid is not just a personal chapter in history, but a strong and clear signal: the future of tennis is in his hands, and no one can stop him.
