According to The Cricketer, Bellingham bought a total of 1% of the team’s equity, split between 0.5% of the share held by Warwickshire – which owns 51% of Phoenix – and 0.5% of the portion owned by the American group Knighthead Investment Management. The latter is a financial giant that invested £40 million last year to secure 49% of the club. Interestingly, Knighthead is also the owner of Birmingham City, the club where Bellingham took his first steps in football.
In addition to his football talent, Bellingham has a long-standing connection to cricket, having played as a youth at Hagley Cricket Club, located in Worcestershire.
