A Manchester City player is in a media relationship with a television presenter considered one of the most attractive women in the UK, and these images show why.
Manchester City will have the support of the stunning partner of one of its players, Maya Jama, in their attempt to win the Premier League title this season.
The title race is intensifying ahead of City’s clash with Arsenal on Sunday. A victory for Pep Guardiola’s team would cut Arsenal’s lead at the top to just three points, with City returning to action against Burnley on Wednesday, still having a game in hand.
Portuguese defender Rúben Dias is out of the match at the Etihad Stadium due to an ankle injury. However, the 28-year-old has also been in the spotlight off the pitch after starting a relationship with popular presenter Maya Jama last year.
The Love Island presenter has become a well-known figure, and rumors of a romance with Dias began in early 2025. A few months later, a poll conducted by the dating site Illicit Encounters ranked Maya as the sixth sexiest woman in the UK.
There was speculation that the two had been seen together on a night out during New Year’s Eve. Later, Maya supported City from a box during the team’s draw against Brighton in March.
Without ever publicly confirming their relationship, the presenter showed that they continued to spend time together in May. She shared a video where the couple was followed by photographers, with Dias keeping watch after a dinner.
In the video, Maya commented: “When we left the restaurant, they were scattered across the road and didn’t catch us, so now they are following us. I’m half tempted to give them a show and the other half wants to hide.”
Last summer, they traveled together to Ibiza, with Maya sharing photos of the couple. Dias reacted to the images, posted to the presenter’s 3.3 million Instagram followers, with a heart emoji.
Unfortunately, the couple was also the victim of a robbery in January. Allegedly, jewelry, electronic equipment, and clothing were stolen while they were both away from home.
More recently, they spent some time in Dias’s hometown, Lisbon. Maya described the week-long trip as “good for the soul” on social media, while the player commented on the photos: “Beautiful species.”
Outside of his personal life, the central defender is seeking to win his fifth title in the Premier League with City. Signed from Benfica in 2020, he has already won the Champions League, the FA Cup, the Club World Cup, and the League Cup during his time in English football.
This season, he has played 25 matches in the league, but he is one of several central defenders currently unavailable. Two among Marc Guehi, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Nathan Aké are expected to line up against Arsenal in a crucial clash for the top of the table.
