“PSV in countdown for the three-time championship in Eindhoven.”

Eindhoven is buzzing: PSV’s three-peat is one step away from becoming a reality, and the excitement on Dutch pitches has never been more intense! In a breathtaking match, PSV hosted Utrecht and won 4-3 in a duel that had it all: comebacks, spectacular goals, and a dramatic finish that promises to celebrate the imminent crowning of Peter Bosz’s team.

The home team found themselves in dire straits just 13 minutes in, with Utrecht firing off a devastating 0-2 thanks to goals from Stepanov and Zechiel – the latter assisted directly by Ángel Alarcón, a young prospect loaned by FC Porto until the end of the season. However, PSV’s response was swift. Saibari kicked off the comeback in the 21st minute and just after the start of the second half, in the 48th minute, he scored again to put the hosts in front. Four minutes later, the turnaround was complete, igniting the stadium.

But the fight was far from over. Utrecht did not give up and equalized again in the 82nd minute with a goal from Karlsson, assisted by Haller, who came off the bench ready to change the course of the game. Just when it seemed like the match was heading for a dramatic draw, Driouech emerged in the dying moments, in the 90+4th minute, to secure the victory and leave PSV with one foot – or rather, almost both hands – on the three-peat.

Just one more point separates PSV from the title, or a defeat for Feyenoord at home against Volendam, currently in 15th place, on Sunday. The mathematics are clear: for PSV to miss out on the title, they would need to lose all five remaining matches, while Feyenoord would have to win all and also make up a goal difference of 21. This is an almost impossible task, especially with just one penultimate matchday left featuring a direct clash between Ajax and PSV, which could already be decisive.

After two consecutive defeats, this epic victory gives a final boost to PSV, who lead the table with an 18-point advantage with only six matchdays left until the end. The celebrations could even begin this weekend in Eindhoven, where the three-peat is in the air and glory seems inevitable.

Get ready, because the title race in the Eredivisie is coming to a close and PSV is about to write another glorious chapter in its history!
