Valentin Debise, the French prodigy, is conquering the world of motorcycles! This Sunday, at the stunning Algarve International Circuit in Portimão, the ZXMOTO rider secured his second consecutive victory in Race 2 of the Portugal Grand Prix of Superbike, elevating his name to new heights. With this impressive performance, Debise not only achieved his fourth win of the season but also confirmed the strength of ZXMOTO, which has participated in only two rounds of the World Championship but has already made its indelible mark.
Debise, with masterful skill, completed the 17 laps of the Algarve circuit, covering a total of 78.064 kilometers in a time of 29 minutes and 34.570 seconds. The Frenchman crossed the finish line 0.720 seconds ahead of Spain’s Jaume Masia, who, despite a strong race, could not match the winner’s pace. The podium was rounded out by fellow Spaniard Albert Arenas, who finished the race 1.487 seconds behind Debise, highlighting the fierce competitiveness among the world’s best.
The victory of Debise in Portimão marked a significant milestone in his career and in the history of ZXMOTO, which stands out with an impressive performance, considering that the brand is only in its early stages of the championship. Now, with two wins under his belt, Debise is focused on continuing his rise in the World Championship. “I am very happy with the victory and the way the team worked. Each race is a new opportunity, and I am looking forward to the next stages,” said Debise, showcasing a competitive spirit that promises to elevate the excitement of racing to a new level.
We cannot overlook the performance of Portuguese rider Martim Jesus, who was invited to participate in the race but ended up finishing in last place, over a minute behind the winner. Although this participation did not result in success, it brings visibility to national talent and the experience of competing at such a high level.
Regarding the overall standings of the World Championship, the competition is fierce. Jaume Masia leads the table with 51 points, closely followed by Alberto Arenas with 49 points and Valentin Debise, who now has 50 points. The excitement is palpable, and the fight for the title promises to be intense in the upcoming races.
Meanwhile, in the Sportbike category, Dutch rider Loris Veneman (Kawasaki) shone in the second race, clinching victory with an impressive time of 20 minutes and 3.173 seconds, averaging 147.845 km/h. Veneman, who did not perform well in the previous race, showed resilience and strategy by overtaking Spaniard David Salvador by just 0.060 seconds, with Antonio Torres completing the podium 0.094 seconds behind the winner.
What lies ahead for the future? Stay tuned, as the next stage of the World Championship promises to be even more thrilling, with Debise and other talents raising the bar with each race!
