In his CF Bayern Insider column, Falk made it clear that while the German international is on Bayern’s radar, he is not among the club’s top targets. “It is TRUE: Bayern Munich is monitoring Kevin Schade. However, it is not true that he is high on the priority list,” Falk stated. He added that Brentford is asking for around £60 million to release the player, an amount that could be considered excessive, even for a club of Bayern’s stature. “I heard from the Brentford side that they would start negotiations at €70 million (£60.3 million). That is too much. Perhaps they know it is too much and, in the end, won’t be able to get that amount for him,” he continued.
The situation regarding Schade becomes even more intriguing when considering that other clubs in the Premier League, such as Chelsea and Tottenham, are also closely monitoring the player’s development. “For Bayern, it would be interesting, given that he is a German player who could be called up to the national team, possibly even for the next World Cup if he is lucky. But for now, Bayern does not have him as their number one target,” Falk added.
Schade’s arrival at Arsenal could solve the team’s attacking problems, providing a solid alternative to players like Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left side. On the other hand, Chelsea may also be interested, as they seem to need more reliable options than their current players Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jamie Gittens.
Despite Schade’s potential, the price asked by Brentford raises some questions. The club has already sold several of its star players in recent years, but £60 million is an amount that approaches what Bryan Mbeumo received when joining Manchester United, and that considering a much more consistent performance.
