Juventus is at a decisive moment in its negotiations with Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian forward who cost the club over 80 million euros. During this gathering, Vlahovic expressed his desire to remain at the club, where he feels comfortable and is supported by coach Luciano Spalletti.
The 23-year-old forward made it clear that he has not made any commitments to clubs like Barcelona, AC Milan, or Bayern Munich, reaffirming that his priority remains Juventus, the team he has represented since January 2022. For the Vecchia Signora’s management, retaining Vlahovic is crucial to strengthening the attack, especially following the departure of Lois Openda.
Meanwhile, the main obstacle to renewing the contract lies in the financial aspect. Juventus is willing to discuss a new agreement, but only if Vlahovic agrees to a substantial pay cut. The proposal revolves around 7 million euros per year, an amount equivalent to Kenan Yildiz’s salary, compared to the 12 million originally planned for the 2025/26 season in the player’s current contract.
Vlahovic, who has been sidelined for more than three months due to injury, has been closely following his team during his recovery and is preparing for a gradual return. The expectation is that he will make his comeback in mid-March during a match against Udinese. However, the chances of being called up for this Saturday’s clash against Pisa are not ruled out, in an attempt to reintegrate him quickly into the team’s dynamics.
