Speaking about Liverpool’s improvements in the second half of the season, Slot cited several factors. “Things have returned to normal, mainly because we created many opportunities in the first half of the season that consistently did not result in goals, often due to bad luck.” He also acknowledged that the team still has adjustments to make, but small defensive and offensive changes are underway: “I think we are a little different in the way we position ourselves.”

One of the most interesting points in Slot’s analysis was the difference in performance during set pieces. “There was a period when we were 23 goals behind Arsenal in set pieces, including penalties. Now we are only three goals behind and have closed that gap a little. But you never know what can happen, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Arsenal also scores three from set pieces this weekend.
