Tension is in the air as Tottenham Hotspur prepares for a decisive clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Following a disastrous debut under Igor Tudor, where the Spurs were humiliated 4-1 by Arsenal, the London team is desperate for a victory to keep them away from the relegation zone. They currently sit in 16th place, just four points above the abyss, with a schedule that offers no easy matches ahead. The pressure is mounting, and the need for a turnaround is urgent.

Fulham, on the other hand, enters the London derby with high morale, having secured an impressive 3-1 away victory against Sunderland. With a win already in the bag from the first leg, the Cottagers are determined to complete the double over the Spurs, taking advantage of their opponent’s visible fragility.

Regarding the lineup, Tottenham has some good news. The return of Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso to training could be a turning point. Danso, having recovered from a minor foot injury, could be called directly into the starting eleven, replacing Joao Palhinha in a three-man defensive line. He will join Radu Dragusin and Micky van de Ven, with the expectation that Igor Tudor will demand a more solid and aggressive defense.

Porro, after a month out, could also return to the starting lineup, taking up the right-back position and leaving Archie Gray out of the eleven. Djed Spence will complete the defensive line on the opposite side, with both full-backs tasked with stretching the play and creating opportunities in attack. However, defensive responsibility will also be crucial, given the offensive potential of Fulham’s wingers.

Joao Palhinha is expected to return to his natural role in midfield, following a tough display against Arsenal. With the Portuguese player shielding the defense, Conor Gallagher will be able to push forward more, becoming more actively involved in the attack. Options such as Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, and Archie Gray should be available on the bench, ready to come on and change the course of the match.

Randal Kolo Muani, who stood out as Tottenham’s best player in the last match, scoring the team’s only goal, is eager for more. The forward wants to make his mark against Fulham and will rely on the support of Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke. This duo will be vital in creating space and linking the play, attempting to destabilize the opposing defense. In critical moments, Solanke may even join Kolo Muani in the attacking line, pressuring Fulham’s center-backs into making mistakes.

The Spurs need a renewed performance and collective unity to emerge from this crisis. With the return of key figures and the determination to secure their first win in the Premier League of 2026, the clash against Fulham promises to be a crucial test for Igor Tudor and his team’s ambitions. What is at stake is more than just three points; it is survival and the hope for a better future in the Premier League.
