FC Porto is preparing for a January transfer window full of opportunities, with its priorities already well defined. Following the signings of Thiago Silva and Oskar Pietuszewski, the blue and white SAD seems to have filled two crucial gaps in the team’s formation, but this does not mean that movements are coming to an end. As January approaches, expectations are high at the Dragão, where the management remains alert for new acquisitions that could further strengthen the squad.

Defender Thiago Silva, who arrived on a free transfer, and winger Oskar Pietuszewski, signed for 8 million euros, were the initial bets of the SAD. The SAD president, Farioli, emphasized the need to “maintain financial balance”; however, the focus is now on finding a striker who can provide more options in attack. The training camp in the Algarve, where the coaching staff is observing young talents, promises to bring new ideas and potential reinforcements.

Oskar, who became the biggest sale in the history of Jagiellonia Bialystok, is one of the most talked-about additions. At just 17 years old, the young Polish prospect stands out for his skill and potential, and FC Porto announced the transfer for 10 million euros, with 8 million to be paid initially and the remaining 2 million dependent on performance-related objectives. Among these is the expectation that Oskar will be called up to the Polish national team, a feat that seems quite likely given his performance in youth selections.

Due to his age, Oskar could only sign a three-year contract, valid until January 5, 2029, but plans are already underway to extend the agreement, possibly until 2031. The player will have a release clause of 60 million euros, while Jagiellonia will be entitled to 10% of any future transfer profit. Porto also assumed intermediary costs totaling 400,000 euros.

When presented as the new player for FC Porto, Oskar did not hesitate to express his excitement. “I feel like I’m at a great club, with a rich history and amazing fans. My first impression is clearly positive,” said the young player, who revealed he received valuable advice from compatriots like Jan Bednarek and Jakub Kiwior, who encouraged him to join the club. “I spoke a lot with Jan; he told me good things about the club and the fans. That helped me a lot in making my decision,” he added.

Oskar, who will wear the number 77 shirt, a number previously worn by figures like Vitinha and Tecatito Corona, described himself as a fearless player, ready to face any opponent. “I am a player who is not afraid. When I’m on the field, I’m always prepared to attack. I hope to bring good energy and happiness to the fans,” he stated, making it clear that his ambition is to play, accumulate minutes, and win trophies with FC Porto.

With these moves, FC Porto not only strengthens its team but also takes firm steps towards a season that promises to be exciting. The combination of young talents and the strategic vision of the SAD could very well be the recipe for success this sports season. Attention is now focused on the upcoming moves in the market, where opportunities may arise at any moment.
