Leeds United has bolstered its defense with the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina international Tarik Muharemovic in a transfer valued at around £34 million. The 23-year-old center-back, who represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the last World Cup, has signed a contract valid for five seasons with the English club.

The player stood out last season while playing for Sassuolo in Italy's Serie A and arrives to replace Pascal Struijk, who was sold to Brighton for £20 million in June. Muharemovic follows in the footsteps of Harry Wilson, the Welsh forward who also joined Leeds during this transfer window after ending his contract with Fulham.
