Mohamed Salah finds himself at a decisive crossroads in his career, after Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı revealed that the Turkish club's final offer has already been presented to the player. With expectations for a swift response from the Egyptian, the situation promises to shake up the transfer market. Salah, who recently helped his national team reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup, is being pursued by several teams after agreeing to terminate his contract with Liverpool.

Adalı opted for an unconventional approach by making the ongoing negotiations public. In a statement released to the Turkish media outlet Orta Çizgi, he said: “As reported in the media, we have been in discussions with the player and his agent for some time, covering all the details of the transfer.” The Beşiktaş president continued, revealing that the final offer was carefully negotiated and that they expect a decision soon: “We have presented our official final offer and made it clear that we expect a response quickly.”

Meanwhile, the situation is complicated by interest from Sporting Kansas City of MLS, which has offered Salah a two-year contract described as “lucrative” by the Daily Mail. Despite being one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, Salah has decided to forgo the final year of his contract with Liverpool in search of a new challenge that guarantees him playing time. During negotiations with Beşiktaş, there are reports suggesting that the player may have even reduced his salary demands.

Beşiktaş is going through turbulent times, with Adalı being the third president in three years and six different coaches during this period. The new coach, Italian Vincenzo Italiano, was appointed in June to bring some stability to a team that finished last season in fourth place in the Turkish league. The team still needs to get through several qualifying rounds of the Europa League to secure its presence in continental competitions for the next campaign.

Although Sporting Kansas City cannot offer the same level of competition as a club participating in UEFA, MLS has become an attractive destination for stars at the end of their careers. Players like Antoine Griezmann, Robert Lewandowski, and Casemiro have joined the North American league, inspired by the impact of Lionel Messi. What comes next for Salah will be crucial, both for his career and for the future of Beşiktaş, which is eagerly awaiting his response.
