Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on a surprising alternative to Julian Alvarez, turning their attention to Brighton striker Viktor Gyokeres as they seek fresh options up front. With Alvarez also attracting interest from Arsenal, the Catalan giants appear to be exploring unexpected avenues to bolster their attacking ranks.
Gyokeres, who has impressed in the Premier League with his dynamic style and goal-scoring ability, emerges as a shock candidate in Barcelona’s recruitment strategy. This move signals Barcelona’s intent to diversify their options beyond the widely speculated Alvarez transfer, potentially catching rival clubs off guard.
The La Liga powerhouse’s pursuit of Gyokeres underscores the urgency to reinforce their forward line amid stiff competition in the market. While Alvarez remains a coveted target for both Barcelona and Arsenal, the Spanish club’s willingness to consider Gyokeres reveals a tactical shift in their transfer approach. This development could reshape the battle for top striking talents ahead of the upcoming season.
