Benjamin Sesko confirms he is settled at Manchester United amid Bayern Munich interest

Benjamin Sesko has firmly dismissed any intentions of leaving Manchester United amid swirling transfer links with Bayern Munich. The Slovenian striker, who arrived at Old Trafford last summer from RB Leipzig, has quickly emerged as one of the Premier League’s most potent forwards, particularly in the closing stages of the 2025/26 campaign.

Sesko’s initial period under Ruben Amorim was marked by adjustment, but his breakthrough truly came following Michael Carrick’s appointment. In the latter half of the season, no Premier League player scored more goals than Sesko, culminating in an impressive tally of 11 goals across 30 appearances. His goal-scoring prowess was slightly curtailed by injuries, including a setback sustained during Manchester United’s memorable win over Liverpool at Old Trafford. However, he is currently on track to recover in time for the new season’s start.

Speculation surrounding Sesko’s future intensified after reports surfaced linking him to Bayern Munich. The German champions, eager to plan for a post-Harry Kane era, have identified Sesko’s unique skill set and immense potential as ideal for their long-term ambitions. Despite Bayern’s interest, it is understood that no formal approach has been made for the 20-year-old striker.

According to respected journalist Sam Cohen, Sesko remains fully committed to Manchester United. Writing on X, Cohen clarified: “Bayern Munich are not currently in negotiations to sign Benjamin Šeško. The Bundesliga champions were interested last summer, but the striker opted for Manchester United and remains settled at the club.” This statement underlines the forward’s contentment and focus on continuing his development at United.

Manchester United will next face a stern test when they take on Paris Saint-Germain this Saturday, with Sesko expected to be a key figure as he aims to build on his breakthrough season. For now, Sesko’s stance is clear: his future lies at Old Trafford, not in Bavaria.
