Bayern tracks Tornike Kvaratskhelia as promising Dinamo Tbilisi talent trains in Munich

Bayern Munich Maintains Vigilant Eye on Rising Star Tornike Kvaratskhelia

Bayern Munich continues to monitor the promising talent Tornike Kvaratskhelia, keeping him firmly on their transfer radar despite current FIFA restrictions. The Georgian attacker, just 16 years old, recently trained at Bayern’s Säbener Straße facilities, signaling the club’s serious interest. However, FIFA regulations prohibit the Rekordmeister from signing players under 18 from non-EU countries, compelling Bayern to wait patiently until Tornike reaches the legal age.

The young forward’s performances for Dinamo Tbilisi have caught the attention of Bayern’s scouting network. Tornike stood out prominently during Dinamo Tbilisi’s 3-0 victory over Lithuanian side Žalgiris in the UEFA Conference League preliminary qualifiers, showcasing skills reminiscent of his older brother Khvicha Kvaratskhelia—who notably secured back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles with Paris Saint-Germain.

Dinamo Tbilisi’s coach Temur Kezbaia expressed high regard for the teenager’s abilities following the match. “I’m happy with Tornike. He has already shown that he can play great football. He's 16 years old, training hard, but he's not ready for 90 minutes yet. He was often fouled, but was still one of the best,” Kezbaia stated, highlighting the young attacker’s resilience and potential.

Bayern’s patience underscores their long-term strategy to secure emerging talents before rivals do, and Tornike’s trajectory suggests he could be a critical asset in the future. For now, the club remains vigilant, awaiting FIFA’s age eligibility rules to clear the path for a potential transfer that could echo the success story of his brother.
