Ticket prices, which range from 225 to 600 euros for matches involving the Portuguese team, have raised questions about accessibility. The competition promises to be a large-scale event, with 48 teams competing in a total of 104 matches across 16 host cities.

The organization Football Supporters Europe (FSE) pointed out that ticket prices are, on average, five times higher than those of the previous World Cup held in Qatar. In response, FIFA introduced a new category of discounted tickets starting at $60 in an attempt to alleviate fan dissatisfaction.
For Portuguese fans, the national team’s debut in the World Cup will be on June 17 in Houston, where they will face one of the contenders from the intercontinental playoff. The most affordable ticket for this match is priced at 225 euros, a price that remains for the other two group stage matches against Uzbekistan and Colombia. If Portugal manages to advance in the tournament, fans could spend up to six thousand euros to watch all the matches of the national team.
