We were so dominant, but we should have been a bit more precise in the final pass, in the corner, in the cross. We should have also anticipated the plays better and shown more responsibility in the attacking area.”

Farke acknowledged that football can be undeserved and, at times, inexplicable: “Sometimes, the game is like that; we can’t explain how the opponent won. This was one of those games.” The coach’s frustration reflects what many fans felt in the stands, as Leeds showed it has the potential to be a force, but the lack of finishing could cost valuable points in the promotion battle.

With this defeat, Leeds United is forced to rethink its approach in future matches. The team needs to convert its dominance into goals; otherwise, it may see its trajectory this season become more complicated.
