RC Strasbourg is intensifying their pursuit of FC Lausanne-Sport’s promising Swiss centre-back Karim Sow as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window. The 23-year-old defender has emerged as a top target, with Strasbourg placing him prominently on their shortlist amid a competitive market. Valued between €4 million and €5 million, Sow’s consistent performances have also drawn attention from Borussia Monchengladbach, Ipswich Town, and Hull City, highlighting a growing demand for his defensive prowess.

After a loan spell at Stade Nyonnais during the 2023-24 season, Sow solidified his status as a key player for Lausanne-Sport, making 40 appearances across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign. Notably, he started every one of the 31 league matches he featured in, underscoring his reliability and fitness. Born in Payerne, the defender’s rise reflects a strong foundation and growing experience at the professional level.

Strasbourg’s interest signals their intent to bolster their defensive options with a player capable of stepping into a pivotal role. With competition from clubs across Europe and England, the transfer race for Sow is set to intensify as the window approaches, making him one of the most sought-after young defenders in the market.
