[Tottenham Hotspur](https://apitofinal.pt/en/?p=680346) is changing its approach regarding Guglielmo Vicario, the goalkeeper who was a starter last season but may be on his way out. With six new signings arriving at Hotspur Way during this transfer window, the Lilywhites are now focusing on selling some players to make room for new acquisitions ahead of the new season.

Vicario, who has faced criticism for his ability to dominate the area during set pieces, was linked with a move to [Inter Milan](https://apitofinal.pt/en/nacional-en/vagiannidis-regains-confidence-and-may-be-a-starter-for-sporting/) at the end of last season. However, those speculations cooled after the [Serie A](https://apitofinal.pt/en/internacional-en/arsenal-is-evaluating-several-solutions-to-replace-saliba-in-defense/) champions signed Ivan Provedel, leading clubs like [Juventus](https://apitofinal.pt/en/internacional-en/chelsea-strengthens-midfield-with-valentin-barco-in-a-seven-year-contract/) and Napoli to express interest in the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

Recently, Gianluca di Marzio confirmed that Tottenham has altered its stance on Vicario's departure. Instead of a direct sale, the club is now open to a loan for the player during this transfer window. At the moment, [Juventus](https://apitofinal.pt/en/?p=680419) seems to be the most likely destination for the goalkeeper. Initially, Juve was interested in Zion Suzuki, but negotiations with PSG complicated that possibility, prompting the team to consider alternatives like Vicario, especially if they fail to secure Emi Martinez.

Vicario expresses a desire to return to his country, and Tottenham's openness to a loan agreement makes this transfer highly viable. The expectation is that, if [Juventus](https://apitofinal.pt/en/nacional-en/juventus-fails-to-secure-star-players-who-rejected-the-offer/) is interested, the deal could be finalized quickly. Most Tottenham fans seem to believe that Vicario could be playing in [Serie A](https://apitofinal.pt/en/?p=680427) before the close of this transfer window.

Vicario's situation highlights the intense dynamics of the transfer market, where clubs' priorities can change rapidly. What lies ahead for the goalkeeper and Tottenham will be a topic of interest in the coming weeks as the start of the new season approaches and negotiations intensify.
