Sporting is finalizing all the details for the heavyweight clash against Arsenal, which promises to be an electrifying encounter at the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy in Alcochete. With the final open training session partially visible to the media, expectations are rising, and attention is turning to the key players who will take the field against the English side.

In this Monday session, young Rafael Nel stood out, returning to the pitch with boosted morale after a memorable night at Alvalade last Friday—his 21st birthday—where he made his first start, provided an assist, and scored a goal. Alongside him, goalkeeper Guilherme Pires and forward Flávio Gonçalves also participated in training, showing they are ready for the upcoming challenge.

Fresneda, who missed the match against Santa Clara due to flu-like symptoms, returned to work without any limitations, a relief for the coaching staff. However, the medical department is keeping three players under observation: Nuno Santos, Luís Guilherme, and Ioannidis remain doubtful for the match, which could impact coach Rui Borges’s options.

In addition, Rui Borges will not be able to count on captain Hjulmand, who is serving a suspension and is therefore out of the match against the Gunners. On the other hand, [Luis Suárez](https://apitofinal.pt/internacional/video-inter-brilha-com-goleada-sobre-roma-e-golo-incrivel-de-gianniotis-de-baliza-para-baliza/) returns to the squad after serving a suspension in the league, increasing the offensive options for [Sporting](https://apitofinal.pt/nacional/sporting-cp-enfrenta-arsenal-em-duelo-decisivo-na-champions-league/) for this decisive battle.

A press conference is scheduled for this Monday at 6:00 PM at the [Auditório Artur Agostinho](https://apitofinal.pt/internacional/arsenal-recupera-jogadores-chave-antes-do-duelo-com-o-sporting/) of the Estádio José Alvalade, where coach Rui Borges and player Maxi Araújo will preview the match against Arsenal, promising to reveal strategies and motivate fans for this crucial clash.

This is a decisive moment for [Sporting](https://apitofinal.pt/internacional/arsenal-em-busca-do-titulo-o-impacto-de-viktor-gyokeres/), which is fine-tuning its strategy and lineup to try to surprise an always formidable Arsenal, in a match that promises to excite football fans in Portugal and beyond. The moment of truth is approaching, and expectations could not be higher!
