“Manu Kone may leave Roma at the end of the season, says Gasperini.”

Manu Kone, the French midfielder who has shone in Serie A over the past two seasons, may be on the verge of leaving Roma at the end of this season, a scenario that is stirring up the behind-the-scenes of Italian football. Doubts about the player’s future arise mainly due to Roma’s financial concerns, as the club needs to make strategic sales to meet the stringent Financial Fair Play criteria by June.

In a press conference ahead of the match against Parma, coach Gian Piero Gasperini directly addressed the question of Kone’s future, making it clear that in modern football, there are no “unsellable” players, except perhaps at the most powerful clubs in the world. Gasperini stated unequivocally: “In modern football, I think there are no players who cannot be sold, perhaps only at the very top, top, top clubs in the world. The question of fourth place always makes a financial difference. In the face of irresistible offers, everyone, except very few, is available. But I don’t know if those offers are that common; they are really rare.”

The Italian coach, however, appeared reluctant to see Kone leave, admitting that he would like to keep him in the team for next season: “He is a strong player and I would like him to continue playing for Roma. Why would I want him to leave? No, I hope he stays. But if an irresistible offer comes — perhaps one that allows him to do other things — we will see. Last year was different, but that does not apply to everyone.”

This stance reveals that Gasperini may not have complete control over the midfielder’s future, especially if advantageous proposals come in for the club. This reality could also affect other important players at Roma, such as Evan Ndicka and Mile Svilar, who are also on the radar of potential buyers.

Among those interested in Manu Kone are Inter Milan and Newcastle United, clubs that have already expressed interest in the French player. Kone’s imminent departure could be a key piece for Roma to secure the funds necessary to stabilize their finances, as well as to meet market demands.

With the transfer market heating up and Roma under pressure to ensure liquidity, the sale of Manu Kone may be inevitable, turning the midfielder into one of the protagonists of the upcoming transfer window. Stay tuned, as this story is still set to make waves in the European football world.
