“Jannik Sinner in search of a new record after a dominant season.”

With Carlos Alcaraz absent, Jannik Sinner has become the undeniable figure in world tennis, dominating any opponent that crosses his path. The young Italian, who seemed to be at a disadvantage against the Spaniard after the Australian Open, has undergone a remarkable transformation and remains unbeaten since February, in a streak that has left everyone in shock.

Sinner is unstoppable, especially in the ATP 1000 tournaments, where his meteoric rise continues to impress. After securing his 20th consecutive victory by defeating Cameron Norrie in the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open, the 20-year-old tennis player is rapidly approaching his own personal record for consecutive wins.

The Italian, currently ranked number 1 in the world, recorded a streak of 26 consecutive victories between September 2024 and May 2025, which only ended in the final of the Rome Masters. And it is precisely at this tournament, which he is set to compete in as the number one seed, that Sinner could surpass his historic mark. Should he win the title in Madrid, he will arrive in Rome with 23 consecutive victories, potentially matching the 26 wins in the round of 16. If he wins the tournament, his streak could rise to an impressive 29 victories—closing in on the greatest records in tennis history.

To enter the top 10 of the longest winning streaks, Sinner needs to achieve 35 consecutive victories, matching legends like Roger Federer (2005) and Thomas Muster (1995). If he maintains his unbeaten run until the semifinals of Roland Garros and wins the title, he could also tie with Jimmy Connors’ 36 victories in 1975.

However, the absolute record in the Open Era belongs to Bjorn Borg, with 49 consecutive wins in 1978, followed by the phenomenal Novak Djokovic, who secured 43 straight matches in 2010. Federer and Nadal also feature on this elite list, with 41 and 32 consecutive victories, respectively.

See below the complete list of Jannik Sinner’s current unbeaten streak, which includes iconic victories against players of the caliber of Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Frances Tiafoe:

If he maintains this overwhelming form, he could not only win his first title in Madrid and Rome but also challenge the biggest names in the sport, entering the hall of immortals. Stay tuned, as this is just the beginning of an era that promises to revolutionize world tennis.
