The meteoric rise of Blades Brown continues to astonish! The young prodigy, just 18 years old, who has already made his mark on the Korn Ferry Tour, is about to face a new and exciting challenge. As Charlie Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, has just confirmed his enrollment at the University of Florida, Brown is preparing for a breakthrough moment at the prestigious Valspar Championship.

Recently, golf enthusiast and social media influencer known as Underdog Golf announced: “Blades Brown receives a sponsor exemption for the Valspar Championship.” This is a golden opportunity for the young player, who turned professional at the end of 2024, choosing to skip college golf despite being the highest-ranked recruit of the 2026 class.

Throughout his early career, Brown not only stood out but also secured a prominent place on the Korn Ferry Tour, finishing his rookie campaign in 2025 ranked 68th in points. Now, with a clear goal in mind, he aims for a spot in the top 20 to obtain the coveted PGA Tour card for 2027.

His reputation as a rising star was further solidified when, in 2024, he joined icons like Tiger Woods and Bobby Clampett, becoming one of three players to win medals at both the U.S. Junior Amateur and the U.S. Amateur. Additionally, Brown has already secured significant sponsorships, being represented by Sportfive and having a sponsorship deal with Callaway.

The young player began the 2026 season at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, where he finished in 17th place with an impressive total of 4 under par. He then stood out at the American Championship, where he finished tied for 18th, leaving everyone impressed with his shots.

Blades Brown made his PGA Tour debut just a year ago, but he is already making waves in the competitive scene. At the 2026 American Express, few were betting on the young player, especially with the presence of the current world number one, Scottie Scheffler. However, Brown was not intimidated. On a windy morning, he thrilled the crowd with a 20-foot birdie on the iconic 17th hole of the Stadium Course at PGA West. With three consecutive birdies, he ended the day at 4 under par, tying with Scheffler at 21 under par, just one stroke behind leader Si Woo Kim, putting himself on the brink of becoming the second youngest winner in PGA Tour history.

“It was surreal. This is what you train for – long nights practicing putts and imagining you have a putt to win the Masters. That’s what really matters,” Brown commented after his performance.

Unfortunately, the dream of victory did not materialize as hoped. On the final day, he fell behind, finishing tied for 18th place after a final round of 2 over par. However, this was his best result in his PGA Tour career, which leaves fans eager for more spectacular achievements from this young talent. With a rising career and endless opportunities in sight, Blades Brown is definitely on his way to becoming a star in the world of golf!
