The storm of changes in the technical structure of Tottenham Hotspur continues to shake the club’s foundations. Igor Tudor, the new interim manager, wasted no time and has already initiated a true revolution in his coaching staff, following the dismissal of Justin Cochrane and John Heitinga. This drastic measure comes in the wake of Thomas Frank’s departure, who left the club after a series of disappointing results.

Heitinga, who had a brief stint in London, arrived at Tottenham only on January 15, but saw his stay cut short abruptly. Before joining the Spurs, he was part of Arne Slot’s coaching team at Liverpool, where he contributed to winning the Premier League title last season. However, his ambition to become a head coach led him to accept the position at Ajax, where, after just 15 matches and a series of unsatisfactory performances, he was dismissed in November.

The dismissal of Thomas Frank, following a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United, left Tottenham in 16th place in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone. This alarming situation forced the club’s management to act quickly, resulting in the departures of Cochrane, Heitinga, and Chris Haslam, all of whom had direct ties to Frank. Cochrane, who had returned to Tottenham after a previous stint, had been a central figure in Frank’s arrival at the club, but has now left alongside him.

In the wake of these changes, Igor Tudor is preparing to bring three new members into his coaching staff: Ivan Javorcic as assistant coach, Riccardo Raganacci as fitness coach, and Tomislav Rogic as goalkeeping coach. All of them are familiar faces to Tudor, having worked with him at Juventus, and their arrival at Tottenham is contingent on obtaining work visas.

With this restructuring, Tudor appears determined to bring a new approach to Tottenham, hoping to turn the tide and lead the club to a performance more in line with its aspirations. The pressure is on him to quickly transform the team’s dynamics and dispel the specter of relegation. The upcoming matches will be crucial, and all eyes will be on how the new coaching staff adapts to this challenge.
