I spoke with a man who is highly respected and, by the way, whose level of respect has increased tenfold.” These statements, made by the former president of the United States the morning after a weekend of absolute silence from FIFA, caught Gianni Infantino by surprise and triggered a storm of hasty statements from the organization, which had until then remained reserved about the details of the case.

The French federation seeks to have the warning shown to Michael Olise overturned, while the Football Association of the United Kingdom is examining all options regarding the expulsion of Jarell Quansah.
