Bruno Guimarães has already agreed to personal terms with Arsenal, in a surprising advance in negotiations that promises to shake up this summer's transfer market. The confirmation came from journalist Ben Jacobs, who revealed that the Brazilian midfielder is fully aligned with the North London club, making it clear that he wishes to move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks.

According to Ben Jacobs' detailed update, Guimarães has given his verbal agreement to Arsenal, removing potential obstacles related to contract length or individual salary. This step represents a crucial development for the Londoners, who have the Brazilian international as a top target to strengthen their midfield. However, the process is far from complete: Newcastle United, the player's current club and where he serves as captain, maintains a firm stance, publicly stating that the star is not available for transfer this summer.

The management of the Magpies denies any direct negotiations with Arsenal so far and seeks to protect one of its key figures from an unwanted departure. However, following successful talks with the player's camp, the Gunners are preparing to make a formal offer that is expected to compel Newcastle to sit down at the negotiating table.

The next step for Arsenal will be to present a third official offer, having already seen two substantial bids rejected in recent weeks. The first attempt, in the region of £55 million, was quickly dismissed, while the second, improved to £65 million, also failed to convince the Newcastle hierarchy. Nevertheless, the reigning champions of the Premier League are not giving up and are finalizing a new push designed to definitively test the resolve of the northern English club.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an evaluation between £65 million and £90 million could be the ideal point of understanding to unlock conversations between the clubs. Guimarães has already formally informed Newcastle of his strong desire to join Arsenal, increasing the Londoners' confidence that a strengthened financial package could finally close the deal.

On the sporting front, the opinion about Guimarães is unanimous within the Arsenal dressing room. Gabriel Martinelli, the club's forward and Guimarães' teammate in the Brazilian national team, did not hold back in praising his compatriot in statements to Sky Sports: “He is one of the best midfielders in the world. He has incredible quality, controls the game, and is an excellent person. Any team would love to have him.” This statement from Martinelli, made earlier, underscores the mutual admiration and suggests that Guimarães' integration into Mikel Arteta's model would, at first glance, be natural and advantageous.

With negotiations boiling over, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will yield to Arsenal's financial pressure or maintain their firm refusal to let go of one of their biggest stars. What is certain is that the saga is far from over and promises new developments in the coming days, keeping fans and the market in suspense.
