Bayern Munich has confirmed that three players have been removed from the plans of coach Vincent Kompany, a decision that could shape the future of the team. The club's CEO, Max Eberl, announced that Bayern is not expected to make any further signings in this transfer window, following the arrivals of Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown for a total of €105 million from PSV Eindhoven and Eintracht Frankfurt, respectively.
Eberl revealed that, despite the departures of experienced players such as Raphael Guerreiro and Leon Goretzka, who left the club for free, the management is not interested in selling Luis Diaz and Michael Olise, even with Real Madrid closely monitoring both players. “We closed the transfers of Brown and Saibari very quickly. I thought it was clear that we were done with incoming players. I smiled when I saw the names linked to us. There is 0% truth in those rumors,” Eberl stated.
However, Bayern's focus now shifts to reshaping the squad. Eberl confirmed that Bryan Zaragoza, Sacha Boey, and João Palhinha are not part of the team's plans and that their continued presence will be difficult. “If they want to stay with us, it will be complicated, as we are not planning with them,” he added.
Zaragoza has been linked with a return to Spain, with several LaLiga teams expressing interest. On the other hand, Palhinha's options appear limited, and the possibility of a return to Sporting CP is on the table. Eberl's decision to sever ties with these players may be seen as an attempt to revitalize the team and create space for new talents, looking ahead to the next season.
With the transfer window approaching its end, Bayern Munich seems determined to consolidate its squad strategy, focusing on players who align with Kompany's vision. The pressure is now on the players in question, who find themselves in a delicate position as the club prepares for a new campaign in the Bundesliga.
