Jannik Sinner may be on the verge of making tennis history, with legendary coach Rick Macci stating that, “barring injury, he could end up with over 20 Grand Slams.” This remark comes at a time when Sinner, currently ranked number 1 in the world, has already secured five Grand Slam titles, including a successful defense of his title at Wimbledon in July. With two Australian Open titles and one US Open title, Sinner is solidifying his position as one of the greats in tennis.

Currently, Sinner ranks 13th on the list of players with the most Grand Slam titles in the Open Era and is third among active players, behind Carlos Alcaraz, who has seven, and record-holder Novak Djokovic, who tops the list with 24 titles. After his victory at Wimbledon, Sinner decided to take an extended break, opting not to participate in the Canadian Open, which drew criticism. His coach defended this decision, stating that it is essential to be fresh for the last Grand Slam of the season. “Why play an event just to play, if you don't feel physically and mentally prepared?” questioned Macci.
