During a press conference at the Cincinnati Open, Gauff expressed her determination: “I feel like I’m getting closer to where I want to be as a player. Obviously, as you said, I had good results in Wimbledon and Toronto, and you know, I’m trying to compete to end up with a trophy in hand, something I hope to achieve before the end of the season.” The player is eager to improve her record at the Cincinnati tournament, where she had a memorable victory in 2023.
