Real Madrid are stepping up their efforts to strengthen their squad and have their eye on young talents such as Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Manchester City’s Rayan Cherki.
The Spanish side are preparing for a future in which Vinícius Júnior could be available for transfer, given the interest of several European clubs in the Brazilian winger.
Rashford, Estêvão and PSG’s interest
The transfer picture is heating up across several leagues. At Manchester United, Marcus Rashford is being tracked by a number of Premier League clubs, including Everton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
At the same time, Paris Saint-Germain are drawing up plans to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and have Chelsea winger Estêvão on their list.
Liverpool, Galatasaray and Newcastle
Liverpool are keeping tabs on four centre-backs: Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni and Barcelona’s Jules Koundé. Brighton & Hove Albion’s Luka Vušković is also on the Reds’ radar.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray are trying to sign Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana after a good showing during his loan at Trabzonspor.
Newcastle United, for their part, have told Manchester United that left-back Lewis Hall will not be sold for less than £70 million, although a sale in January has already been ruled out.
At Atlético de Madrid, the board have told Arsenal that Julián Alvarez will not be sold mid-season, especially after the player’s apology to the fans.
Como’s Lucas Da Cunha is another player being watched by Brentford and Tottenham, while Chelsea are considering selling Kendry Páez after a performance below expectations.
Haaland, Alexander-Arnold and João Félix
In La Liga, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool appears uncertain, as he has requested a meeting with Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho because of a lack of minutes.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland continues to dream of a move to La Liga, undecided between Barcelona and Real Madrid, and says he will play in Spain “sooner or later”.
Finally, Al Nassr are complicating João Félix’s return to Barcelona by triggering an automatic extension clause in his contract, which makes a free exit at the end of the season more difficult.
