Akliouche rejects liverpool to join psg in €40m transfer saga

Monaco’s rising star Maghnes Akliouche has decisively rejected a lucrative approach from Premier League giants Liverpool, opting instead to join Paris Saint-Germain in a high-stakes transfer saga. The 24-year-old playmaker, whose creative flair has caught the eye across Europe, informed Liverpool of his clear preference to move to the French capital, despite the English club’s willingness to outbid PSG.

Liverpool, managed by Andoni Iraola, reportedly made a significant enquiry for Akliouche in recent days, offering a financial package exceeding that of the reigning French and European champions. However, according to Foot Mercato, this financial muscle failed to sway the talented midfielder. Akliouche’s allegiance lies firmly with PSG, signalling a major blow to Liverpool’s recruitment ambitions.

PSG have been locked in negotiations with Monaco for several weeks, aiming to secure Akliouche’s signature. Their latest bid of €40 million was turned down by Monaco, highlighting the club’s valuation of the player and their reluctance to let go easily. Nevertheless, L’Équipe reveals that PSG are preparing a fourth offer, confident that they will ultimately prevail in this transfer battle.

This transfer pursuit underscores PSG’s aggressive strategy to reinforce their squad with homegrown talent, while Monaco stands firm to extract maximum value for one of their brightest prospects. Akliouche’s decision to choose PSG over Liverpool not only reshapes the midfield landscape for both clubs but also sends a clear message about the player’s ambitions and loyalty within Ligue 1.

As this high-profile transfer drama unfolds, PSG’s determination to secure Akliouche’s services marks a significant coup, potentially tipping the balance of power in French football and beyond.
