Arsenal authorizes Leandro Trossard transfer to Besiktas, awaiting player’s green light

Arsenal have given the green light for Leandro Trossard’s imminent transfer to Besiktas, with the move now awaiting only the Belgian’s final approval. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that talks between Besiktas and Trossard’s camp are in the final stages, with the English club having already authorised the player’s travel and medical. Romano stated on X, “Besiktas remain locked in talks with Leandro Trossard’s camp to sort details and try to get the player’s final green light to the move. Arsenal have already authorized travel and medical. Up to Leandro.”

The 31-year-old attacker, a key figure in Arsenal’s successful Premier League campaign last season, appears set for a new chapter as he approaches the twilight of his career. Trossard, who joined Arsenal from Brighton, has proven himself as a versatile and influential squad member, but with playing time likely to diminish, the move to Turkey offers a chance for regular first-team football.

An agreement has already been reached between Arsenal and Besiktas, with the Gunners now waiting for Trossard to finalise the deal. The transfer could pave the way for Arsenal to recruit a dynamic new attacker, as the Belgian international was known for his ability to operate in multiple attacking roles, contributing both goals and creativity.

For Trossard, the prospect of becoming a regular starter in the Turkish Super Lig is a compelling opportunity at this stage in his career. Having achieved success in England, the switch to Besiktas represents both a new challenge and the chance to make a significant impact on a new stage.

The focus now shifts to Trossard’s decision as Arsenal prepare to reshape their attacking options for the upcoming campaign.
