Bayern Munich shuts the door on Barcelona and Real Madrid: Kane stays and Olise is untouchable!
The futures of Harry Kane and Michael Olise are officially secured in Munich, much to the dismay of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of Bayern Munich, publicly clarified that Kane’s contract renewal is practically guaranteed and that Olise is off the market, no matter the fortune offered!
Harry Kane, the English striker who has shone in the Bundesliga, has seen the clause that would allow him to leave for around £57 million expire. This means that the England captain is unlikely to make a move to another club, contradicting persistent rumors of a return to Spain to replace Lewandowski. The 32-year-old forward has scored 53 goals this season, playing a crucial role in Bayern’s quest for the national title, as well as leading the team to the semi-finals of the Champions League and the final of the DFB-Pokal.
In exclusive statements to t-online, Rummenigge praised Kane and expressed confidence in an imminent renewal: “Bringing Harry Kane to Bayern was a historic achievement. He did not use the release clause and clearly showed that he wants to stay in Munich. After the season, we will sit down with him to discuss the contract extension because Harry has transformed under Vincent Kompany.” The CEO also highlighted the tactical evolution of the forward: “In addition to scoring many goals, he now drops back into midfield to launch players like Michael Olise and Luis Díaz with long passes of rare quality. This is crucial for our style of play.”
But the news that will really leave Barcelona and Real Madrid in a panic is Bayern’s total refusal to sell Michael Olise, the 24-year-old young French winger, a key player in the synergy with Kane. Despite Real Madrid already expressing interest and talk of a proposal in the region of £200 million, Rummenigge was unequivocal: “There is no price that will make us waver. In 2009, we turned down a record offer from Chelsea for Franck Ribéry because we decided that we would not sell essential players for us. That rule remains. Olise is an exceptional player, reserved and almost shy, a true rarity these days. He is beloved by our fans and indispensable to the team.”
Bayern Munich is thus firm in its project, shielding its stars and challenging the sharks of European football. Kane and Olise are the pillars of Bavarian success and will continue to shine at the Allianz Arena, much to the dismay of their Spanish rivals.
Stay tuned: the transfer market may be closed for these two stars!
