David Beckham is in great shape and his passion for Inter Miami has never been more evident! As the new MLS season approaches, the iconic former player and co-owner of the club made sure to express his deep gratitude to the fans who make everything possible. With the opening game of the 2026 season against LAFC on the horizon, Beckham made it clear that the team is “hungry for more” after winning the MLS Cup in 2025.

After an intense pre-season, during which the team participated in a three-match tour in South America, Inter Miami is ready to face a star-studded LAFC, featuring former Premier League player Son Heung-min, former MLS MVP Denis Bouanga, and experienced Portuguese midfielder Stephen Eustáquio. This match marks a special moment, being only the fourth time these two teams, known for their million-dollar investments, have faced each other since Miami entered the league in 2020. The rivalry between Son and Lionel Messi, the two-time MLS MVP, promises to be a spectacle in itself.

In heartfelt statements directed at the fans, affectionately known as La Familia, Beckham emphasized: “As the new MLS season begins, I am very excited about what lies ahead. It has always been our dream to be MLS champions, but we are hungry for more and can’t wait to start our title defense today.”

But it’s not just the MLS Cup that is at stake. Inter Miami is also setting its sights on the Concacaf Champions Cup, a trophy that Jorge Mas, co-owner of the club, targeted immediately after the MLS Cup presentation ceremony last December. The challenge begins with an away match, followed by three more MLS games against Orlando City, D.C. United, and Charlotte FC, before embarking on their Concacaf journey against Nashville SC or the Canadian Premier League champion, Atlético Ottawa, in Fort Lauderdale on March 18.

Meanwhile, Beckham has also expressed his excitement for the new home of Inter Miami! The second leg of the Concacaf clash will take place at Chase Stadium, where the team has played since its inception. However, the true moment of glory will arrive with the long-awaited opening of Miami Freedom Park, the new soccer-specific stadium, scheduled for April 4, when Inter Miami will face Austin FC. “We will be in our new home soon,” Beckham said, expressing his eagerness to see the fans in the new stadium. “I can’t wait to see all of you there. Thank you for always being with us.”

With a promising future ahead and a passionate fan base, Inter Miami is about to enter a new era. Supporters can expect a thrilling spectacle, and Beckham is determined to take the team to new heights. Let the season begin!
