Fulham Emerges as Front-Runner to Secure Real Madrid’s Rising Star Franco Mastantuono on Loan
Fulham has positioned itself at the forefront in the race to acquire Real Madrid’s highly touted 18-year-old talent, Franco Mastantuono, on loan for the 2026-27 season. The Spanish club is reportedly ready to send Mastantuono out on loan this summer after a challenging debut season following his €45 million transfer from River Plate.
Mastantuono’s inaugural campaign at Real Madrid proved difficult, as he struggled to secure consistent playing time under both Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa. The young forward managed to start only 11 out of 23 LaLiga appearances, contributing a single goal. With Arbeloa now managing Fulham, the English Premier League club has emerged as the leading candidate to offer Mastantuono a valuable opportunity for development next season.
Earlier speculation linked the player with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como, but interest from the Serie B side has since faded. Meanwhile, Fiorentina, a fellow Serie A club, has recently expressed renewed interest in securing the promising forward’s services.
Fulham’s pursuit of Mastantuono aligns with the club's ambition to bolster its attacking options with a player of remarkable potential, while providing the Real Madrid prodigy the platform to gain essential first-team experience. The loan move could prove pivotal in shaping Mastantuono’s future trajectory at the highest level.
