Galatasaray plans to approach frustrated Kevin De Bruyne at Napoli with lucrative offer

Galatasaray plans to approach frustrated Kevin De Bruyne at Napoli with lucrative offer

Galatasaray Targets Kevin De Bruyne Amid Frustrations at Napoli

Kevin De Bruyne’s time at Napoli appears increasingly unsettled, with Galatasaray reportedly preparing an enticing offer to lure the Belgian star away from the Serie A giants. The 35-year-old midfielder, who joined Napoli last summer as a free agent following a prolific spell at Manchester City, has grown visibly frustrated with the club’s tactical approach and direction under successive coaches.

Despite his experience and quality, De Bruyne has found it challenging to adapt to Napoli’s defensive mindset. Even before a severe injury sidelined him from October 2025 to March 2026, the Belgian openly criticised former coach Antonio Conte’s cautious tactics, describing them as overly negative. The arrival of Max Allegri as the new manager has so far failed to ease these concerns, with De Bruyne still dissatisfied with the team’s style of play.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Galatasaray is ready to capitalise on De Bruyne’s discontent by offering a lucrative two-year contract. Although Napoli have maintained a firm stance on retaining the veteran, the club may be willing to part ways, considering his age and the financial relief his departure would bring. De Bruyne’s contribution in his debut season—21 appearances, five goals, and four assists—demonstrates his continued value on the pitch despite limited game time.

As the 2026 season progresses, this potential transfer saga could reshape the player’s career trajectory and impact Napoli’s midfield dynamics. De Bruyne’s quest for a more attacking and less conservative football philosophy might find a new home in Istanbul, where Galatasaray aims to strengthen its squad with proven international talent.
