In the heart of Cremona, Inter Milan solidified their lead in Serie A with a convincing 2-0 victory over Cremonese, a match marked not only by skill on the field but also by an alarming incident involving goalkeeper Emil Audero.

The goals of victory were scored by Lautaro Martínez and Piotr Zielinski, ensuring Inter’s continued pursuit of the title. However, the joy was overshadowed by an irresponsible act when a firework was launched onto the pitch, hitting Audero and creating a moment of great tension. “It was scary. I thank everyone who cared about me,” declared the goalkeeper, still visibly shaken but glad to have continued the match.

The first half was dominated by Inter, who opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a close-range header from Lautaro, following a corner taken by Federico Dimarco. This was Lautaro’s 128th goal in Serie A, and the Argentine celebrated with a special message for his daughter, showing that football goes beyond the four lines. Inter’s dominance was reinforced in the 31st minute when Zielinski, with a long-range shot that surprised Audero, doubled the lead.

Cremonese, struggling to emerge from crisis, saw their hopes of scoring frustrated. With only three draws in eight matches and failing to score in three consecutive games, the pressure was mounting. The absence of Tommaso Barbieri due to suspension and a series of injuries, including those of Martin Payero and Antonio Sanabria, left the team without options. Young Youssef Maleh had to be thrown straight into the starting lineup, a situation that highlighted the limitations of the squad.

The game seemed to be under control of Inter until a disturbing incident occurred in the 50th minute. A firework, launched by Inter fans, landed near Audero, resulting in a burn on his leg. “What happened has no place in football. It is unacceptable,” commented one of the players from Cremonese, expressing the outrage that permeated the atmosphere. After a few minutes of stoppage, Audero returned to the field, but the atmosphere was already tense.

Cremonese tried to respond, with Alessio Zerbin threatening with a shot that, unfortunately, only found the crossbar. The home team came close to breaking their goal drought, but Inter’s defense, led by Yann Sommer, stood firm. In the end, Inter left with three points, but the image of a secure and exciting football match was overshadowed by an act of irresponsibility that should not be forgotten.

With this victory, Inter remains firmly at the top of Serie A, while Cremonese continues to fight for a recovery that seems increasingly distant. It serves as a reminder that, while the passion for football is undeniable, the safety of players and fans must always be the top priority.
