Players from Manchester United are pushing for Michael Carrick to be appointed as permanent manager, following an impressive run of results since he took over on an interim basis. The former Red Devils captain, who replaced Ruben Amorim at the beginning of the season, has secured seven wins in 10 matches, placing the team in a solid position: third in the Premier League and on the brink of qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League.

Carrick, whose connection to the club is deep, appears to have won the trust of the players, who are not hesitant to express their desire to see him in the role full-time. In exclusive comments to the press during a conference in Dublin, Amad Diallo highlighted the importance of the manager and the positive impact he has had on the team: “He has a lot of experience, knows the club, and has the DNA of Manchester United. We believe he is the right man, and we are very pleased with what he is doing.” The young winger also emphasized the clear ambition of the coach: “Since he arrived, he made it clear that he wants to win and secure Champions League football for next season, working with each player. He is doing an excellent job, and we are lucky to have him as our manager.”

Alongside Amad, forward Mbeumo also shared his perspective, reinforcing the sense of unity around Carrick: “We have had a good experience playing under his command. He knows how to talk to us and understands the club, which makes everything easier. It has been great working with him.” Mbeumo, who transferred from Brentford to Old Trafford last summer, even without guaranteed European presence, revealed that the decision was a personal challenge he hopes to see rewarded: “Joining Manchester United was a big step for me. I enjoy challenges, and coming here was one of them. Being rewarded with qualification for the Champions League at the end of the season would be a fantastic moment.”

Manchester United is experiencing a renewed sense of optimism, thanks to the work of Michael Carrick, who seems to have all the right conditions to take on the role permanently. The team is focused on finishing the season in the best possible way, solidifying their presence in European competitions and returning the club to the level of greatness that fans demand. If it depends on the players, the future of United lies with Carrick as the leader on the bench. It remains to be seen whether the management will follow the same path.
