Marco Rose is set to revolutionize Bournemouth! The English club confirmed on Tuesday the agreement with the German coach to take over the management of the Cherries starting next summer, in a signing that promises to shake up the Premier League. Rose, 49, succeeds Andoni Iraola, who was announced last week as not renewing his contract at the Vitality Stadium.

After an impressive season under Iraola, with Bournemouth securing an unbeaten run of 13 games and positioning itself in eighth place in the table, the club is now betting on a heavyweight name to take the team to another level. Rose was one of three options considered by the management, competing with names like Kieran McKenna from Ipswich and Íñigo Pérez from Rayo Vallecano.

Without a club since March 2025, when he was dismissed from RB Leipzig, Marco Rose has never coached in England but brings a resume filled with successes in Europe. The German coach started his career in 2012 at Lokomotive Leipzig and has worked at top clubs such as Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and RB Leipzig. His achievements include two Austrian Bundesliga titles, the Austrian Cup, and winning the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup with Leipzig.

The official announcement of the new coach comes at a crucial time for Bournemouth, which is preparing for its fifth consecutive season in the Premier League and may even be dreaming of its debut in European competitions. Currently, Rose’s team is just one goal away from sixth place, occupied by Chelsea, demonstrating the enormous potential of the squad.

The club has made it clear: “Everyone at AFC Bournemouth is excited about Marco’s arrival at the Vitality Stadium, where he will begin his work as head coach this summer. The immediate focus remains firmly on finishing the season as well as possible, with players and coaching staff committed to achieving positive results and consolidating the impressive unbeaten streak.”

This signing could be Bournemouth’s answer to firmly establish itself in the elite of English football and, who knows, challenge the giants in the fight for a European spot. The Premier League is about to gain a new heavyweight player, and Rose promises not to leave anyone indifferent.

More news regarding this change of direction at the Vitality Stadium will be announced soon. The Premier League is already eagerly awaiting the impact of the new German coach on the English scene.
