The tension in Italian football reaches new heights, with the latest sanctions imposed following the thrilling round of Serie A. A total of six players have been suspended and two key figures from AC Milan have faced significant fines after the heated Derby della Madonnina. The impact of events from the 28th round continues to reverberate, with all eyes now on the ensuing judicial developments.

The decisions from the Serie A sports judge were decisive. Among the penalized players is Milan’s midfielder, who will now be forced to watch the next game from the stands. Alongside him, five other athletes have also been punished with a one-match suspension: Roma defender Evan Ndicka, Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson, Cagliari forward Sebastiano Esposito, and Genoa goalkeeper Patrizio Masini. The list of suspensions is a clear reflection of the intensity and pressure that surround matches in the Italian league.

Cremonese defender Giuseppe Pezzella was one of the most heavily sanctioned, having been sent off in the match against Lecce, which resulted not only in a suspension but also a fine of 10,000 euros. The reason? A fierce and disrespectful attack on the referee, which cannot be tolerated in sports. Raw emotions come at a high cost, and Pezzella serves as a warning to other players: disrespect will not be tolerated.

Milan, for its part, did not come away unscathed from the derby. The club was fined a total of €30,000 due to two distinct infractions. The first fine of €22,000 was imposed for an unjustified delay of two minutes during the second half of the match, an act that did not go unnoticed by the authorities. The second penalty, amounting to €8,000, is due to the insulting chants directed at Inter players by their fans. Furthermore, the situation was exacerbated by the use of a laser beam directed at an opposing player, an act that further tarnishes the club’s image.

The management of Inter was also subject to sanctions, with director Dario Baccin fined €10,000 for his repeated and disrespectful criticisms of a refereeing decision after the match. Pressure and frustration can lead to explosive reactions, but Baccin must learn that criticism should be constructive, not arrogant.

As the league enters its decisive phases, what lies ahead for the clubs and players involved? Tension is rising, and the consequences of actions on the field will have repercussions not only on the standings but also on the players’ morale. Italian football is undoubtedly going through a moment of intense passion and controversy, and the upcoming matches promise to be even more electrifying.
