The star of Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr., made a strong statement about his future at the club, denying all rumors circulating about his contractual situation. At just 25 years old, the Brazilian prodigy has a contract that runs until 2027, but he is already entering the last year of his contract this coming season. While on duty with the Brazilian national team, Vinicius made it clear that his only concern is to continue shining at the Santiago Bernabéu for many more years. “I am only thinking about Real Madrid and staying here for a long time,” Vinicius stated, as quoted by MARCA.
Despite discussions between the player and the club’s management, no agreement has yet been reached regarding the renewal of the contract. The situation became complicated at the beginning of the season when Vinicius had some disagreements with former coach Xabi Alonso. However, with Álvaro Arbeloa now at the helm, things seem to have taken a positive turn, and the possibility of a new contract for the winger is gaining momentum.
Vinicius is close to regaining his best form, having been crucial in Real Madrid’s recent winning streak. The club’s desire to secure his future, combined with the player’s motivation, suggests that an agreement may be closer than expected.
During the press conference, Vinicius also discussed the training methods of Carlo Ancelotti, the former coach of Real Madrid who now leads the Brazilian national team. The player will be a central figure in this new project. “The coach always talks to the players. He asks us about the positions we prefer to play, how we like to defend, but the final decision is always his. This conversation is important for us because we always learn from him,” he stated.
Regarding his role in the national team, Vinicius commented: “I imagine everyone wants me to be one of the key players. I am prepared for all the challenges of my career. I have already played in a World Cup and I don’t want to miss out again. I am working hard at home; I don’t want to get injured. We have players like Raphinha and João Pedro, in addition to the young talents emerging, like Endrick and Estevão. We are all ready. We can also decide a match with a set piece. That’s how you win a World Cup.”
He continued: “I don’t pay much attention to what people say. I know my work and my dedication to the World Cup; it’s where all players want to be. As for my current form, I’m always trying to give my best, scoring goals and providing assists. I’m at my best moment right now. Everything I do at Real Madrid, I hope to do here with the national team as well.”
Brazil is set to face France in a friendly match this month, which could see Vinicius come up against his club teammates Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni. “This game will be very important for us. They are a great team, just like my teammates at Real Madrid. It will be a very open game. It will be a good test for us,” concluded the young star.
With all these statements and Vinicius’s evident determination, it is clear that the player’s future at Real Madrid is a priority for both the club and the athlete. The expectation now is to see if the discussions will result in a renewed contract that secures the Brazilian’s stay at the Spanish giant for many years.
