Portuguese golf is on the rise, and Daniel Rodrigues, a young talent on the ascent, has just secured a prominent position at the Hainan Classic, a renowned tournament on the DP World Tour. In his second round, held on Friday, Rodrigues not only maintained the impressive performance from the first round but also secured his spot among the best, rising to sixth place with a total of 136 strokes, eight under par.

“I am very pleased with my performance so far. Consistency is key, and I am working hard to stay focused,” Rodrigues stated after a round that included seven birdies and just one bogey and one double bogey. The young golfer demonstrated remarkable skill, matching the 68 strokes he recorded in the first 18 holes, solidifying his presence in the tournament.

In his debut on the European circuit, the Portuguese golfer had already made his mark by finishing 12th at the Crown Australian Open in Melbourne. So far, in eight tournaments played, he has only missed the cut once, showcasing a consistent and promising performance.
