Braga is in offensive mode and determined to secure the signing of talented midfielder Tiknaz, a player who stood out last season with Rio Ave. The pressure from the SAD led by António Salvador to secure the athlete is evident, especially after Besiktas rejected an initial offer of five million euros. This move by Braga is not just about strengthening the squad, but rather a strategy to incorporate a player who can adapt to various roles in midfield, whether as a defensive midfielder or in a double pivot, perfectly aligning with the tactics of coach Carlos Vicens.

Information from Turkey reveals that, despite Besiktas’s initial “no,” Tiknaz’s future may still be in Braga. The 21-year-old is seen as a rising star, having already demonstrated his worth with 33 appearances last season, where he scored four goals and provided two assists. His adaptation to Portuguese football is a significant advantage, especially following his successful stint at Rio Ave, which left a lasting impression and led the club to try to retain the player on a permanent basis. However, Besiktas did not relent, setting a deadline until June 10, 2025, for Rio Ave to exercise their option to buy.

The pressure on Rio Ave has been intense, with the club requesting an additional 48 hours to decide, but Besiktas president Serdal Adalı did not accept the request. The former coach of the “black eagles,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, also expressed his satisfaction in having Tiknaz, even while the player was being linked to other clubs, such as Sporting. Rio Ave’s plan to acquire the player’s rights and then transfer him did not materialize, and Tiknaz ultimately remained at Besiktas.

So far this season, the international A player for Turkey has participated in 16 matches, but only six as a starter, accumulating 624 minutes on the pitch. His usage, below expectations, has led Tiknaz to seriously consider a return to Portuguese football, this time in the service of Braga. The negotiation could evolve towards a value of around six million euros, but it is still unknown whether the transfer will be permanent or involve a loan with an option to buy.

Tiknaz’s future could take new turns after tomorrow’s match against Fafe, a crucial game in the semi-finals of the Taça de Portugal, which could accelerate discussions between the clubs. The anticipation surrounding this dossier is palpable, and Braga fans are eager to see if they will finally manage to secure one of the emerging talents in Portuguese football.
