Jürgen Klopp, the charismatic sporting director for Red Bull, has finally decided to break the silence surrounding the unfounded rumors of a possible connection to Real Madrid, where speculators had placed him as a potential successor to Álvaro Arbeloa. In an explosive statement, Klopp did not hesitate to debunk the news he considers pure fabrication, raising questions about the credibility of those who publish it.

“I never really know when a piece of news is, in fact, news. Is it when someone takes a piece of paper and writes something down, or is there really some basis for it? How would the situation have to be? Would Real Madrid have to call me at some point and say, ‘Jürgen, can you imagine yourself here?’ Or is it enough that ‘Oe24’ — I have no idea if it’s AI or if there are people sitting there — writes some rubbish?” Klopp fired back, alongside an event in Munich, as reported by the renowned German daily Bild.

The 56-year-old coach was even more emphatic in stating that if there had truly been any approach from Real Madrid, the news would have spread quickly. “If Real Madrid had called, it would have been known at some point. But this is all nonsense! They haven’t called even once, not a single time. They also didn’t call my agent,” Klopp reiterated, making it clear that he has no intention of leaving his position at Red Bull.

Despite his firm and direct tone, Klopp also emphasized that his coaching career is far from over. “It was the same idiots who wrote that. The colleague from ‘Salzburger Nachrichten’ who wrote this doesn’t understand a thing. It doesn’t even cross my mind to throw in the towel. I’ve said it a thousand times. At this moment, obviously, I’m not thinking about that at all. Fortunately, there are no reasons for it,” he defended himself.

He went on, reflecting on his future: “As for what the future holds… well, in a way, I’m not at the end of my line as a coach yet. So, who knows what will come in the next few years? But, regarding that matter, there is absolutely nothing planned.”

Jürgen Klopp, who took over the role at Red Bull in January 2025 after a glorious nine-season tenure at the helm of Liverpool, made it clear that his dedication to the club is unwavering and that he is more focused than ever on his current responsibilities. Klopp’s strong statements serve as a reminder that, in the world of football, rumors can often be more harmful than helpful, and the truth must always prevail.
