Gabriel, Arsenal's defender, revealed that the defeat in the Champions League final will be a major source of motivation for the team in the Community Shield, which will take place next Sunday. Arsenal, the Premier League champions, will face Manchester City, the FA Cup holders, at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, in a match that promises to be an intense spectacle.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his confidence in Enzo Maresca, who replaced the legendary Pep Guardiola, but hopes that the Italian does not perform well in this challenge. This match comes just a few months after Arsenal's bitter defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, where Gabriel missed the decisive penalty, handing the title to the French side.

In statements to TNT Sports, the Brazilian defender stated that the memory of that failure only increases his determination. “For me especially, (the defeat in the Champions League final) is a motivation and, of course, we want to win all the trophies. But we know the process, and I am motivated to win as many trophies as possible again,” said Gabriel.

The player, who has been at the club for almost six years, highlighted the support of the fans and the dedication of everyone at the club to be in a position to compete for titles every year. “The motivation comes from within, and from our teammates. I see how each player wants to win, and that gives me even more motivation to give everything on the pitch,” he added.

Gabriel also mentioned that the quality of Arsenal's squad is an advantage. “We know the quality we have in our team. We want to win again and, of course, we have five trophies at stake, and we are going for them,” he concluded. The Super Cup represents an opportunity not only for Arsenal to secure bragging rights in pre-season but also to assert their strength in the new season, especially after a triumph in the Premier League that put them ahead of City in the last campaign.
