Cristian Chivu, coach of Inter Milan, made it clear that the Italian team is heading to Dortmund with a single mission: to win and dominate. This crucial clash in the Champions League will take place at the iconic Signal Iduna Park, where the atmosphere is always electric and the challenges are intense. However, the Nerazzurri are facing some difficulties, as Nicolò Barella will not travel with the team due to a muscle injury, and captain Lautaro Martínez may start the game on the bench.

The Milan team has experienced ups and downs in the competition, having started the group stage with four consecutive victories, but suffered a dramatic downturn by losing their last three matches against heavyweight opponents such as Atlético de Madrid, Liverpool, and Arsenal. Chivu did not hesitate to acknowledge his team’s drop in form, stating: “This is a competition different from Serie A, and we are well behind.” The coach emphasized that despite the promising start, the team has complicated matters and the current situation is far from ideal.

With the possibility of not qualifying directly for the knockout stage and the need to go through playoffs in February, Inter is under pressure. “We want to step onto the pitch with the same mentality as always, seeking victory and dominance. Then, at the final whistle, we will see where we stand,” Chivu emphasized, highlighting Borussia Dortmund’s rich European tradition, which makes them one of the most feared teams at home.

Expectations are high for this clash, and Inter fans are hoping to see their team rise again and regain confidence in one of the most iconic venues in Europe. With Chivu’s determination and the club’s history in mind, the nerazzurri are ready to fight and show that they are capable of shining again in the Champions League.
