Recently, Wolfsburg shared an update on Instagram, revealing that Eriksen returned to spend time with the squad during a friendly match against SC Telstar. The Danish midfielder watched the game closely and expressed how much it meant to him to see everyone again. “It’s good to be back with the team, even if only for a short time, to see familiar faces and meet the new ones. Talking with the players and coaching staff has been good for me. I was also very happy with the warm words and gestures from the fans. I wish the boys a successful start to the season,” Eriksen stated.
VfL Wolfsburg also confirmed that Eriksen traveled back to Denmark on Friday, where he will continue his individual rehabilitation program.
